Golf day in support of Abraham Kriel Childcare

Abraham Kriel Childcare (AKC) will be hosting its 20th annual Golf Day at the Randpark Club Firethorn Course on Tuesday, 4 June 2013. The event is sponsored by Louw & Heyl Attorneys and the proceeds are used for the benefit of the abandoned, abused, neglected and highly traumatised children in AKC's care.

Companies are encouraged to participate in this year's Golf Day due to state subsidies not being increased for the second consecutive year and certain programme funding being reduced.

The Golf Day includes a four-ball alliance competition, advertising at a tee, a halfway house voucher, prize giving and dinner. Of the event, the marketing manager of AKC, Hilda du Toit said: "Our annual Golf Day is a pleasurable occasion for avid golfers and a good business networking opportunity. We look forward to seeing companies out on the golf course in support of our organisation. The contributions made by all over the past 19 years are greatly appreciated and have contributed significantly to our children's lives. We know that we can count on companies to make our 20th Golf Day just as successful."

The proceeds are generated by the entry fees, donations, one raffle and a few items on auction at the event.

The venue is the Randpark Club, Firethorn Course. The price is R2400 per four-ball. Golf carts/caddies and drinks not included.
